ICYMI: Latest Features Announced at PoshFest 2022

We just announced an exciting roundup of new features at PoshFest. If you didn’t get a chance to tune in, don’t worry—we got you! Along with the beta launch of Posh Shows, we announced more seller features to keep on your radar. From listing to getting paid, check out these highly-requested features below that will be rolling out over the next few months to ac-SELL-erate your sales.

  • My Saved Searches: The wait is almost over! Coming shortly, we’ll automatically share listings to the most relevant shoppers who are looking for items like yours.
  • Scale to Fit Photos: Cropping photos when creating listings? Soon, you’ll be able to pinch and zoom out so that your full item is visible in the frame!
  • Update on Search: Starting this weekend, we’re rolling back our recent changes to Search—get your listings ready!
  • No Printer Shipping: No printer? No problem! Sellers in the U.S. will be able to take your package directly to USPS and show them a QR code that’ll print and ship it all in one go (goodbye printing labels yourself!).

Added Payout Options: We’re adding faster payout options for you to access your earnings faster than before. Coming soon, sellers in the U.S. will be able to cash out with Instant Transfer, PayPal, and Venmo. Sellers in Canada will be able to cash out with PayPal.

Beta Test: Posh Shows

Posh Shows is a new feature currently in beta in the US and Canada, designed to bring the community together to shop and sell LIVE.

What is a beta test? 
This is a test that releases a new feature to a small group of users. The goal is to gather feedback and then make improvements before it’s officially launched more broadly!

Who currently has access to create a Posh Show? 
US: We are continuing to beta test with a small US-based audience and are granting access to Poshmark sellers on our waitlist, with priority access given to Posh Ambassador I and II’s. If you are interested, please fill out this form once. The current waitlist time is approximately 16 weeks, and we will notify you by email as soon as we’re ready for you! Please make sure that you have opted into receiving Poshmark emails, by going to the Account tab > Notifications > Email Notifications > Announcements.

Canada: We also recently began beta testing with a small, invite-only Canada-based audience. All Posh Ambassadors were invited as participants on a first-come, first-served basis. To sign up, please fill out this new form.

Who will be granted host access next?
US: We will slowly begin granting access to our Posh Ambassador II community during the next phase of expansion in 2023. If you’re currently a Posh Ambassador II, stay tuned for more information via email in the coming months. Please make sure that you are opted into receiving Poshmark emails by going to the Account tab > Notifications > Email Notifications > Announcements.

Interested in becoming a Posh Ambassador II? Please review the criteria and benefits here. We plan to release access to the broader seller community soon and are taking a phased approach to ensure the best experience for Posh Shows hosts and shoppers.

Canada: We are granting Posh Shows access on a first-come, first-served basis to Posh Ambassadors in Canada. To sign up, please fill out this form and look out for updates regarding next steps sent via email. We look forward to involving our entire seller community after the beta testing period has ended.

Can anyone join and/or shop a Posh Show?
All Poshmark users can join shows. However, please note the following:

  • A US shipping address and payment card information is required to purchase from a US Posh Show.
  • A Canada shipping address and payment card information is required to purchase from a Canada Posh Show.   

If you want to support fellow sellers, view shows, or shop—please head to the Shop tab in the app. Be sure to update to the latest version of the Poshmark app.

Can I purchase items during a Posh Show? 
Yes! A seller can choose to feature their listings during a Posh Show. These featured listings can be purchased by placing a bid on an item during an auction. Please note that all bids are binding. Your items will ship just like any other purchase.

CLOSET QR CODES

Your closet now has a unique QR code, making it even easier to connect. Simply show your QR code to link people directly to your closet—here are some ways you can use it to connect.

  • Share your QR code during Poshmark or community-hosted events.
  • Add your QR code to business cards, stickers, social posts, and more to help new customers quickly find your closet.
  • Include a QR code printout in your packages so buyers can easily find and shop your closet again.

Find yours by heading to the Account Tab and scrolling down to QR Code.

Match Buyer’s Last Offer

Regret declining an offer? Now, you can accept a buyer’s last offer—even after you’ve countered! This will send the offer back to the buyer, and they can accept it to secure the purchase. Here’s how it can benefit you.

  • Get another shot at making a sale by matching the shopper’s last offer.
  • Capitalize on more opportunities to close the sale.Offer great customer service by re-engaging with a potential shopper. 
  • Offer great customer service by re-engaging with a potential shopper.

Select All

We know you’ve been asking for it, and it took us longer than expected, but the wait is over. Select All is now available when using Bulk Listing Actions to share to followers and Posh Parties!

  • Save time by sharing all of your listings in just a few clicks.
  • Bulk Share to Followers to keep your listings at the top of search results, brand pages, feeds, and more.
  • Bulk Share to Parties to reach a large number of motivated shoppers all at once.

App Update Alert: Engage and Close Customer Leads with My Shoppers

Did you hear? We just announced an exciting suite of brand NEW seller tools at PoshFest’s Hackathon! Each of these powerful tools was carefully developed and designed to give our seller community even more resources to drive business growth.

My Shoppers is one of the three major features in this suite of tools. My Shoppers is a first-of-its-kind, customer-focused tool that enables sellers to identify, engage, and close the sale—including both potential shoppers and past buyers. 

HOW IT WORKS

Poshmark will generate a personalized list of past and potential shoppers based on who have liked, commented, or bundled within your closet. 

You can filter and sort this list to target shoppers with certain characteristics. For example, you can filter this list based on if you want to see only past likers, past bundlers, or even past buyers. You can also sort based on things like most recent activity, most likes, or most items in Bundle. 

With these insights on who your shoppers are, you can then perform mass actions on the personalized list to drive those shoppers down the purchase pipeline. These mass actions include:

  • Adding a shoppers’ likes to Bundle
    • Create personalized Bundles for all shoppers at once based on their past likes.

  • Sending offers to those Bundles
    • Sweeten the deal by offering your shoppers a discount on the personalized Bundles.

  • Sending comments to those Bundles
    • Close the sale by reaching out to your shoppers directly and giving them great customer service.

HOW YOU CAN USE MY SHOPPERS

Understand your customers.
You can leverage information about who engages and purchases from your closet to develop marketing strategies, promotions, and inventory planning. Use your personalize My Shoppers list to:

  1. Dive into customer details: With this list, you can quickly and easily tap through to buyers’ profiles to better understand how long they’ve been on Poshmark, where they live, and more.
  2. See what shoppers are interested in what inventory: Use the customer list and likes information to see what types of shoppers are drawn to what inventory in your closet. For example, new shoppers may shop for certain brands while veteran shoppers focus on others.

Supercharge your customer acquisition strategy.
Customer acquisition is the process of bringing new shoppers to your closet and converting them to buyers. You can use My Shoppers to do this by:

  1. Welcoming first time shoppers: You can make your customer service stand out by using Send Comment to Bundle to greet new likers at once and provide information about your closet.
  2. Simplifying the shopping process: Consolidate shoppers’ likes in one place with Add Likes to Bundle, so that you can streamline their shopping experience. Then, use Send Comment to Bundle to initiate conversations with these shoppers.
  3. Providing private discounts: Quickly and easily Send Offers to Bundles to show shoppers that you’re serious about closing the sale.
  4. Follow up to drive urgency: After creating Bundles, use Send Comment to Bundle to let shoppers know that you will be sending exclusive offers with reduced pricing.

Turn past buyers into repeat buyers.
Re-engage previous customers with personalized offers and communications. My Shoppers can help you do this through:

  1. Running a win-back campaign: Filter your shopper list according to past buyers, and then use Send Comment to Bundle to give them a compelling offer, such as “I know you’ve purchased from my closet before. As a thanks, I can offer you 30% off of your next purchase!”
  2. Giving special access to promotions: Offer exclusive closet-wide sales for past buyers by reaching out to them via Send Comment to Bundle, such as “I’m running a weekend sale! Add any two items to this Bundle and I’ll give you a private 50% discount.”

Ebony Beckwith Joins Poshmark’s Board of Directors

We’re excited to announce that we’ve appointed Ebony Beckwith, Chief Philanthropy Officer at Salesforce and CEO of the Salesforce Foundation, to Poshmark’s board of directors. 

Ebony brings over two decades of experience in technology, operations and philanthropy. At Salesforce, she’s responsible for the company’s philanthropic investment strategy and leads Salesforce’s community response to pressing issues, including co-leading a task force committed to racial equality and justice. Ebony also has a strong connection to the brand — she is an avid Posher and has been a part of the Poshmark community since 2014. 

We asked Ebony a few questions about why she’s joining our board, here’s what she had to say:

Q: What drew you to joining Poshmark’s board of directors? 

A: I’ve been a loyal Posher since 2014 so I’ve experienced firsthand how special this community is. I love that there’s a strong emphasis on sharing and community building. Even the most successful Poshers take the time to be part of the community. And that’s because they recognize the value to both their business and their relationships with other Poshers. I also admire what Manish has built, alongside an incredible team and board. I believe in their vision and could not be more excited to define the future of shopping together.

Q: A majority of Poshmark users are women. How do you see Poshmark supporting women’s empowerment and economic opportunity more broadly?

A: I read a recent report that women’s participation in the workforce is the lowest it’s been in 30 years, which is really scary to think about. COVID placed extraordinary demands on women, particularly mothers, and what they need most is flexibility. This is a huge opportunity for Poshmark. Women can build a successful business on their terms, allowing them to prioritize whatever they need to…whether that’s helping their kid with online learning, or caring for a family member, or attending to their mental health. The future of work is all about balance and that’s exactly what Poshmark can offer.

Q: What elements of your experience are you excited to bring to Poshmark?

The world of work is changing quickly, and we’re realizing that areas like philanthropy, CSR, and ESG are no longer “nice to haves” for companies…they are non-negotiable. Employees and consumers expect the companies they work for and the brands they love to step up and help address the challenges we face as a global community. My expertise is in applying a data-driven, business mindset to these areas to drive real, meaningful, and measurable impact for all stakeholders. And those can include our employees, our customers, our communities, our shareholders, and our planet. Poshmark has been community-first from Day 1 so I’m excited to partner with the team to drive its next phase of growth and impact.
