Get the Look: Fresh Florals

Ready! Get set! Spring! We’re ready to pack away our heavy winter duds and dust off the light, bright florals! The sun is starting to come out, and we are looking for new twists on old classics, dark florals, and sweetly printed dresses. Here are some ways to rock this classic print in an ever-so-fresh way.

New and Unexpected

Sunglasses are a great way to display your florals. We love this fresh take with the natural element of stone woven in. Be warned: this style is not for the faint of fashion, and will attract compliments!

040215_get the look_floral shoes

Admittedly not as obviously floral as some of our other picks, but these mixed print Rebecca Minkoff sandals are the perfect spring accessory. The bright spots of color bring to mind an impressionist painting, and what better way to celebrate the warmer weather than by a stroll with by a lilly pond? Mix and match with your favorite spring dress, or some distressed boyfriend jeans for a more casual look.

Floral from head to toe! The print on these espadrilles will have you begging for more. As the weather keeps warming up, we’re dreaming of lazy Sundays at the park with these beauties.

Dark Obsessions

Nothing makes a floral pattern pop like a dark background. Plus, this way, we don’t have to give up all of our winter darks. The neon and neutral combination in this J. Crew floral top make for a great, breezy statement.

Florals popping through textured metallic give an unexpected bold and dark look. We’re huge fans of this pencil skirt with a classic brocade pattern. It’s a good compromise until the snow melts away completely. (Sorry, East Coast. We’re rooting for you!)

040215_get the look_floral romper

Mix up your Spring style game with a romper. The playful pattern, again on a dark background, make this a fun way to switch up a classic print. Sweet with enough sass to keep it interesting, this pattern can easily take you from dinner and a movie to an evening of dancing and cocktails.

Light, Airy and Delicate

Creamy lace is classically spring, but deep V-necks and cut-outs make for a modern look. Take this easy pick for spring evenings: the delicate floral pattern balances a bold neckline, and lace paneling keeps the dress mysterious with the right hint of sexy.

This dress has a sweet print and even sweeter neckline that will make for a perfect backdrop to a spring date. The splashes of pink remind us of a cherry blossom tree, and the flattering shape has us dreaming of sweet treats!

Spring time, tea time; tea time, spring time. The two practically go hand in hand! With a feminine shape and delicate pattern, afternoon tea just got a fashion upgrade. Pair this flowy floral dress with layered, delicate jewelry, or add a statement belt or shoe. Either way, you’ll be the talk of the tea!

Celebrity Style with Poshmark and Possessionista!

Since we love all things fashion and celebrity related, we’re very excited to welcome Dana from Possessionista.com as our guest blogger for today to share some fab Poshmark finds:

As the editor of Possessionista.com, I spend a majority of my day tracking down and TV fashion. But sadly, a lot of times these looks are outside of my readers’ (and my) budget. I first started using Poshmark to resell pieces I’d bought after seeing them on my favorite TV shows and celebrities, but I quickly learned it’s also a great place to find the same exact things the celebs and stars are wearing.

Because there are literally tens of thousands of items on Poshmark, it’s easy for that dress or handbag you’ve been coveting to elude you, so I went though the site and tracked down some of my favorite celebrity looks that are currently available on Poshmark.
