What’s Changing

How to Set Yourself Up for Success

Your closet already has what it takes to thrive. To maximize your visibility and sales:

  • Power discovery with quality listings
    • Complete listing details (brand, size, condition) and avoid keyword stuffing so search can connect buyers with your listings accurately.
    • Use clear titles, detailed descriptions, competitive pricing, and high-quality photos.
  • Stay active and responsive
    • Log in regularly, list new items, and keep your closet up to date.
    • Respond quickly to shopper comments and offers, and leverage tools like Offer to Likers and Price Drops. Active, responsive closets are prioritized in discovery.
  • Build trust through consistency and reliability
    • Ship orders on time and avoid cancellations to strengthen your Closet Stats and turn first-time buyers into repeat customers.

We’re improving how shoppers find and trust your closet, making discovery simpler, smarter, and more personal. Our goal remains the same: helping you reach the right buyers and grow your business on Poshmark.

FAQs

Does Sharing and Following still matter?

Yes, but their roles are different.

  • Sharing counts as activity and refreshes your listings in the Just Shared sort in Search.
  • Sharing others’ listings is still a way to support the community, but it no longer impacts listing visibility in the Feed.
  • Following helps you stay connected with the community, but it doesn’t impact how shoppers discover your listings.

How is Average Ship Time calculated?

Average Ship Time measures how quickly you ship orders once they’re placed. It’s calculated by taking the average time from when the sale is made to when the mail carrier scans the package into their systems.

Lower shipping starting September 12th 🚚

We want to reassure you that:

9/8/25 Update

For the first time in over a decade, we’re lowering the cost of shipping! Starting September 12, Posh Post drops from $8.27 to just $6.49—our lowest rate since 2017.

Why we’re doing this

USPS recently announced industry-wide rate increases on Priority Mail shipping. With input from our sellers and a shared goal of keeping shipping accessible, we partnered with USPS to find a better path forward. The result is a new, lower shipping rate that benefits both buyers and sellers.

What’s staying the same

You’ll still get all the perks of Posh Post, our exclusive shipping system:

  • Flat-rate shipping on every order—no guessing, no hidden fees
  • One label for anything up to 5 pounds
  • The ability to use your own packaging
  • Prepaid label and QR code options

What’s changing

Orders will ship via USPS Ground Advantage, with delivery in 2 to 5 business days.

This means that starting September 12, USPS Priority Mail packaging can no longer be used to ship Poshmark orders. Starting October 12th, USPS will charge a $5 fee for using Priority Mail packaging. This fee will be deducted from your redeemable balance.

If you already use your own packaging, there’s nothing you need to change. If you’ve been using Priority Mail materials, simply switch to non-Priority Mail packaging. To make this transition easier, Poshmark sellers will have exclusive access to free USPS Ground Advantage boxes.

Due to the contract process, we unfortunately weren’t cleared to announce this update until today. While the timeline is shorter than usual, we hope you share in our excitement about this price reduction.

This is one of our biggest updates yet, and a meaningful shift toward bringing more shoppers to your closets, leading to stronger sales. Together, we’re not just selling fashion, we’re building its future.

FAQs

How can I get free Ground Advantage shipping supplies?

Poshmark has partnered with USPS to provide complimentary Ground Advantage shipping supplies exclusively for Poshmark sellers. Packaging options include a variety of polymailers, padded mailers, and boxes.
To order your packaging supplies, please call 800-610-8734. Please note that you will need to provide your closet name to USPS to confirm you are a Poshmark seller.

Rest assured, USPS is prepared for this transition and ready to support requests from our community.

What do I do with my existing Priority Mail shipping supplies?

If you have Priority Mail packaging materials leftover after the transition to USPS Ground Advantage, you can return full Priority Mail packs of 10 or 25 directly to your local Post office. Any residual Priority Mail packaging can be used for future non-Poshmark Priority Mail shipments or recycled.

Are there any changes to what I can ship when Poshmark transitions to Ground Advantage?

No, Poshmark sellers will continue to be able to ship the same items as before with Priority Mail. As a reminder, the shipment of nail polish, perfume, or aerosols is not supported via Poshmark shipping labels per USPS regulations. For more information on what USPS deems a hazardous material, please visit this page: https://www.usps.com/ship/shipping-restrictions.htm.

Does Poshmark offer other types of shipping options?

No, Poshmark will only offer USPS Ground Advantage shipping, which typically takes about 2-5 business days.

If my item is over 5lbs, what is the cost to upgrade my label?

If your order exceeds the 5lb limit, you will need to upgrade your shipping label. Upgrade fees will vary based on the total weight of your package. For the full breakdown of weight thresholds, costs, and how to upgrade your label, check out our Support Center

Is insurance included with Ground Advantage shipping?

Yes, Ground Advantage shipping includes the same insurance and protection you’ve come to expect when shipping with Posh Post.

Will I still need signature confirmation for luxury items over $500?

Yes, all luxury orders over $500 will still require signature confirmation for delivery. The shipping rate for luxury items will remain the same Ground Advantage flat rate.

Thank you, Posh Community — a new chapter for Poshmark

Dear Poshmark Community,

15 years ago, my three co-founders and I were fueled by a humble dream in my Silicon Valley garage: to completely reimagine the future of retail. We saw a massive opportunity to leverage technology to enable you to shop and sell from one another’s closets online, and to truly connect around each magical experience. Our vision was to infuse the social and personal aspects that we all know and love about in-person shopping into a vibrant digital space.

We poured our hearts into that dream with you every step of the way, and together, we made it happen. Today, the Poshmark community is 150 million strong, and that’s all thanks to you. Day in and day out, you embrace your unique secondhand style, you build your livelihoods with us, and, most profoundly, you foster a supportive network amongst yourselves. That spirit of support and #PoshLove is the very heart of this community, and it’s something I deeply hope you will all carry forward into this next exciting chapter of the company.

Today, we announced that I’ve decided it’s time for me to pass the torch as Poshmark’s CEO to Namsun Kim, Poshmark’s current Executive Chairman and someone I’ve known and deeply respected since 2022. When I first met Namsun, his profound conviction in our mission immediately struck me. I felt with certainty that he was someone I would be incredibly proud to see lead this company one day. For the better part of this year, Namsun and I have been working hand-in-hand, ensuring this transition is as smooth as possible, preparing him to lead Poshmark into its next era of growth and excellence. While my time as your CEO will conclude at the end of September, please know I’m not going far at all. I’ll continue to serve as a board member and investor, and I will forever be Poshmark’s biggest, most enthusiastic cheerleader. Namsun and I hope to see many of you at PoshFest next month in Silicon Valley where it all began back in 2011!

Leading this company has been the greatest honor of my professional life. Every success we’ve achieved, every challenge we’ve overcome, has been because of you. It’s been the privilege of a lifetime witnessing each of you grow, and it has truly inspired me every single day. From the bottom of my heart, thank you. For being the extraordinary community that you are, for your trust, your creativity, and for all the possibilities you continue to create together.

With endless #PoshLove,

Manish Chandra

A New Way to Discover Poshmark Listings—Now on Facebook Marketplace

We’re thrilled to announce a new partnership we’re testing with Facebook Marketplace that is designed to bring immense value to both shoppers and sellers. Facebook users in the U.S. are now able to browse Poshmark listings directly on Facebook Marketplace.

This test is designed to give our sellers increased visibility by introducing your listings to Facebook’s expansive audience, helping you reach new shoppers, make more sales, and grow your Poshmark businesses even faster.

As a seller, you don’t need to do anything differently—your listings, pricing, and shipping process remain exactly the same. This partnership works behind the scenes to amplify your reach with zero extra effort.

This collaboration is about making Poshmark closets more accessible, empowering more people to embrace circular fashion, and helping our seller community turn their style into earnings.

As with our other tests, we’re starting small to ensure listings appear favorably on Facebook Marketplace, and we’ll continue to test and learn—stay tuned for more updates.

New Policy Details

Last week we announced a new Excessive Listing Removal policy. We have heard and sincerely appreciate your feedback on this policy. Ahead of the May 1st policy launch, we want to provide clear guidance on what’s allowed and confirm that thoughtfully refreshing your closet is still encouraged!

What you can do:

  • Refresh listings that haven’t sold for 60+ days: You are welcome to refresh older listings to keep your closet vibrant and up-to-date. This policy is about how often you revisit your listings—not how you do it.
  • Improve your refreshed listings: Add new photos, update titles and descriptions, or use Smart List AI to enhance your listings.
  • Use in-app features to reach shoppers: Price Drop and Offer to Likers are great ways to boost visibility.
  • Remove listings when no longer available: If your item sells elsewhere or is out of stock, you can delete it from Poshmark.
  • Continue using Copy Listing feature: Copy Listing can be used to create similar listings anytime or to refresh existing listings after 60 days.

What we’re discouraging:

  • Excessive deletion and relisting of the same items: Removal and relisting in fewer than 60 days.
  • Behavior that circumvents fair discovery: Any action intended to gain unfair search or marketing advantages.

As the marketplace evolves, so do our policies. Refreshing your listings remains an important part of a successful selling strategy—our goal is to ensure it’s done in a way that benefits the entire community. Together, we can keep Poshmark fresh, fair and full of authentic discovery.

Thank you for being part of our community and for working with us to make Poshmark even better. Please continue to share your feedback with us here.
