Sell for Others with the Poshmark Consignment Network

Introducing the Poshmark Consignment Network—a new program currently in beta that empowers trusted sellers to sell on behalf of others. We aim to grow our community by making selling on Poshmark easier and more accessible than ever, while also increasing the earning potential of our sellers.

We’re expanding our network in Chicago and the San Francisco Bay Area and inviting folks to apply as Poshmark Closet Partners, who will list and sell items provided by other Poshers (aka consignors). While in beta, Closet Partners will gain access to fresh merchandise, risk-free, delivered straight to their door, and receive a share of the earnings when items sell. It’s a fantastic opportunity for new and experienced Poshers to grow their Poshmark business, access free merchandise, and earn cash doing what they love!

We’re actively recruiting Closet Partners to join our network in Chicago and the San Francisco Bay Area. If interested, sign up here for a virtual training to meet our team, or reach out to consignment@poshmark.com

Closet Partner FAQs

How can sellers participate as Closet Partners?

Space is limited based on geography and demand. At this time, sellers must be located in Chicago or the San Francisco Bay Area to be eligible to participate. In addition, sellers must agree to the following:

  • Be available to receive and safely store consignment deliveries weekly.
  • List and sell a wide variety of merchandise, brands, and categories.
  • Accurately research, photograph, price, and list all consignment items in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Adopt Poshmark tools to be an effective seller, including sharing, offers, Posh Shows, etc.
  • Help grow our network by sending empty bags to consignors upon request.

As we improve the product experience and expand to more geographies, we will continue to open up to more sellers. If you are interested in becoming a Closet Partner, we encourage you to join our waitlist and stay tuned as we expand to your area.

How are earnings split for consignment?

Earnings will be split 50/50 between the consignor and Closet Partner after Poshmark fees, shipping, and price discounts. Once the buyer has accepted the item, earnings will be automatically deposited into both Poshmark accounts.

What items are accepted for consignment?

At this time, we are accepting women’s, men’s and childrens’ clothing, accessories, and shoes. Items must be in good condition and clean with no holes, piling, stains, signs of wear, alterations, or missing labels. Items that may be covered by our Prohibited Items Policy are also excluded.

How many items can be included in a consignment bag?

Consignors are free to include as many items as they like as long as they fit in the provided bag (usually 15-30 items).

How will consignment bags be delivered?

Consignors will be able to schedule a pickup in the app on available days. Our delivery driver will pick up and deliver the bag on the same day through contactless pickup.

How will consignment listings show up in the app?

Listings will show up in both the Closet Partner and consignor’s closet (listed on their behalf by the Closet Partner) and under My Consignment Bags on the Account tab.

Who can create, edit and price the listings?

The Closet Partner will have sole discretion on listing creation, including pricing, listing details, and photos. Closet Partners will also be responsible for listing activity, including editing, commenting, sharing and sending offers, etc.

How long will consignment items be listed for? What if items don’t sell?

Anything has the potential to sell on Poshmark. We are asking for items to be listed and stored by the Closet Partner for up to 6 months.

What does beta mean?

Beta means we are releasing the new feature to a small subset of the community. The goal is to gather feedback and then make improvements before it’s officially launched more broadly.

How can I learn more or share general feedback about the Poshmark Consignment Network?

We welcome any questions and feedback to consignment@poshmark.com. A member of Team Posh will respond as soon as possible.
