- A simple, clutter-free background helps your item stand out and makes it easier for Smart List AI to pick up on key details. Go for a background that contrasts nicely with your item.
- Take Multiple Angles
- Show off your item from every angle! Snap photos of the front, back, and close-ups of tags or unique features. This helps Smart List AI create a complete and accurate description.

Smart List AI is an innovative tool designed to revolutionize the selling process on Poshmark. Powered by AI technology, Smart List automates and streamlines the task of creating listings, saving sellers valuable time and effort.
How does Smart List AI work?
Smart List AI works by analyzing the photos of your item and extracting relevant details such as item type, brand, size, and color. It then uses this information and the additional information you input to generate a full listing, saving time and effort in the listing process. For best results, we recommended taking a photo of the item’s full front and back, including a close up of the tag, and ensuring photos are well lit and on a clean background.
Why is Smart List AI unable to correctly identify my item?
Smart List AI relies on advanced technology to analyze the photos you provide and extract relevant details to generate listing information. There may be instances where the item’s details are not accurately identified due to various factors such as image quality, lighting, or the complexity of the item itself.
To improve the accuracy of Smart List AI, we recommend taking clear, well-lit photos of the entire item against a contrasting background, as well as a clear picture of the tag. Additionally, if you notice that Smart List AI has generated incorrect information, you have the ability to edit the listing details manually before publishing.
Can I edit information generated by Smart List AI?
If Smart List AI doesn’t identify your item correctly, you can simply update by tapping on the incorrect detail and manually correcting it. Then make sure to tap the Regenerate Listing button for your title and description to reflect the correction.
How do I switch from Smart List AI to Classic List?
You are able to choose either the new Smart List AI and traditional Classic List any time you start a new listing. In the Sell tab, simply toggle between the two at the bottom of the camera view by tapping on either Smart List AI or Classic List.
