- How can sellers participate as Closet Partners or Consignors?
Closet Partners are Poshmark sellers who list and sell items on behalf of others. At this time, sellers must be located in one of our select areas to be eligible to participate.
To become a Closet Partner you must:
- Comply with Poshmark’s Consignment Network Terms. At a high level, this includes, but is not limited to:
- Helping to grow the program by sending empty bags to Consignors upon request
- Being available to receive and safely store consignment deliveries weekly (subject to availability)
- Researching, photographing, pricing, and listing all consignment items in an accurate and timely manner
- Adopting Poshmark tools to be an effective seller, including sharing, offers, using seller tools, etc.
Consignors are Poshers who want someone else to sell their items for them. At this time, users must be located in one of our select areas to be eligible to participate in the consignment program. In the meantime, you may join our waitlist.
To become a consignor, you need to join the waitlist:
- In the app, go to your Account Tab (@username), or on the web, select your profile image from the top-right of the page.
- Select My Consignment Bags.
- Add or confirm your shipping address.
- Select Join Waitlist.
- You will receive a notification via email once you are off the waitlist. Once you are off the waitlist, you can request a bag to be sent to you.
- How are earnings split for consignment?
Earnings are split 50/50 between the consignor and Closet Partner after Poshmark fees, shipping, and discounts. Once the buyer has accepted the item, earnings will be automatically deposited into both Poshmark accounts.
- What items are accepted for consignment?
What We Accept
- Like-new or new-with-tags items
- Well-known brands with strong resale value (e.g. Coach, Nike, Lululemon, Tory Burch, & Free People)
- Clean, new or like-new pieces ready to resell
What We Don’t Accept
- Items that are worn, stained, pilled, or damaged
- Low-quality items or fast fashion brands (e.g., Old Navy, Target, Fashion Nova, Shein, or Forever 21)
- Items originally purchased for under $100
Items that may be covered by our Prohibited Items Policy are also excluded.
You can learn more about what is accepted in our Poshmark Consignment Clear Out Guide and our Consignment Network Terms.
- Why aren’t all of my listings getting promoted?
The Closet Partner will have sole discretion to decide what can be promoted based on the selling potential of the items. Listings may also not be promoted if they don’t meet Poshmark’s guidelines.
- How many items can be included in a consignment bag?
Most consignors send 10–15 items but the Consignment bag should weigh less than 50lbs.
- How will consignment bags be delivered?
Consignors will be able to schedule a pickup in the app on available days. Our delivery partner Uber will pick up and deliver the bag on the same day through contactless pickup.
- How will consignment listings show up in the app?
Listings will show up in both the Closet Partner and Consignor’s closet (listed on their behalf by the Closet Partner) and under My Consignment Bags on the Account tab.
- Who can create, edit and price the listings?
The Closet Partner will have sole discretion on listing creation, including pricing, listing details, and photos. Closet Partners will also be responsible for listing activity, including editing, commenting, sharing and sending offers, etc.
- How long will consignment items be listed for? What if items don’t sell?
Anything has the potential to sell on Poshmark. We are asking for items to be listed and stored by the Closet Partner for up to 6 months.
