Turn pieces you no longer wear into extra cash. From choosing your first item to shipping your first sale, getting started is simple.
Set Up Your Closet
Add a profile photo, short bio, and memorable closet name to help shoppers get to know you. Confirm your shipping address and set up how you’ll redeem your earnings.
Create Your First Listing
Choose an item from your wardrobe and add at least four clear photos showing the front, back, label, details, and condition. Include an accurate title, description, size, category, brand, and price so shoppers know exactly what to expect. Smart List AI can help you draft the details from your photos in just seconds.
Make and Ship Your Sale
Respond to questions, keep your listings up to date, and use tools like Smart Sell and Bundles to connect with interested shoppers. Once your item sells, pack it securely and ship it using Poshmark’s prepaid USPS label. Then, keep listing to grow your closet and reach more shoppers.
Ready to turn your closet into cash? Create your account, find an item you’re ready to part with, and make your first listing. Add photos, share the details, set your price, and tap List. Once it sells, we’ll help you take it from sold to shipped.
Start by looking in your own closet. You may be surprised by what’s ready for a new home. List new or pre-loved fashion, jewelry, accessories, home decor, electronics, select beauty and wellness products, and more.
Tap Sell in the app or select Sell on Poshmark on the web. Upload photos or a video, or use Smart List AI to list seamlessly and easily. Add a clear title and description, choose the item’s category, size, brand, condition, and color, then name your price. Give everything one last look and tap List. Your item is published live instantly.
Every sale comes with a straightforward fee structure: $2.95 flat on anything under $15, and 20% once a sale hits $15 or higher. There's nothing else tacked on beyond that, no monthly subscription, no fee just to list an item, and no surprise charges buried in your payout.
Eligible items sold for $500 or more are automatically sent to Poshmark for authentication before continuing to the buyer. Qualifying listings display the Posh Authenticate badge. Items that do not meet the program’s eligibility requirements remain covered by Poshmark’s standard marketplace protections.
The fundamentals are similar, but Poshmark Canada operates as a separate marketplace with Canadian currency, carriers, shipping rates, and policies. Check the latest Canada-specific guidance before listing or shipping an item. Learn more here.
Congrats on your sale! Print the prepaid, pre-addressed shipping label Poshmark provides. Then pack your item securely and remove any old labels or barcodes from reused packaging. Make sure your package meets the weight and packaging requirements shown in the app. You may also be able to use a QR code for label-free shipping. Be sure to ship promptly so your buyer can start enjoying their new find and keep them coming back to your closet next time.
