Tips for handling unwanted communication on Poshmark
At Poshmark, we expect everyone to follow Poshmark’s Community Guidelines. While we do our best to ensure that Poshmark is a safe and trustworthy place for users with these policies in place, Poshers may occasionally experience unwanted encounters with fellow community members. On this page, you can find tips and solutions that can help you manage any potential unwanted communication you may experience on our platform.
In some cases, unwanted communication may be considered to be bullying, which is strictly prohibited. For more information on Poshmark’s definition of bullying, please refer to our Community Guidelines.
If you received unwanted communication on Poshmark:
Do not engage with the other user(s). Choosing to retaliate or engage can exacerbate the situation, and all users involved may receive penalties on their account.
Use the Block feature. The Block feature prevents the user from being able to follow, like, comment, make an offer, or purchase any of your listings. If you are a Posh Show host, it also prevents the user from viewing and engaging with your future shows.
Mute the viewer. For Posh Show hosts, this restricts a viewer’s comments during your show. Once complete, you and other viewers will not see any future comments from this user for the duration of the show. To mute a viewer:
- Select the commenter’s profile icon, username, or entire comment.
- Select ‘Block Comments from @username.’
- Select the reason for blocking comments from this viewer.
Report it. In-App reports will automatically be sent to Poshmark’s team for review. There are multiple ways you can report through the app:
Order Chat
1. Select the 3 dot icon(…) on the right side of the screen.
2. Select ‘Report this conversation’
3. Select the reason for reporting the conversation.
4. Submit the report by confirming you are reporting the conversation. Once submitted, the chat will be disabled.
Posh Show
1. Select the 3 dot icon(…) on the right side of the screen.
2. Select ‘Report this Posh Show.’
3. Select a reason for the report.
4. After you have chosen your reasons for reporting, click on the ‘Submit’ button.
Posh Show Comments
1. Select the commenter’s profile icon, username, or entire comment.
2. Select ‘Report this Comment.’
3. Select the reason for reporting the comment.
4. After you have chosen your reasons for reporting, click on the ‘Submit’ button.
