Definitions
- Consignors: Poshers who want to sell their premium items on Poshmark but may not have the time or know-how to do it successfully.
- Closet Partners: Experienced sellers who handle the full selling process—everything from listing to shipping. It’s also a great opportunity to grow your Poshmark business, access free inventory, and boost your earnings while helping others sell with confidence.
Whether you’d like trusted sellers to sell on your behalf or you’re interested in selling for others, getting started is simple. The Poshmark Consignment Network gives you the flexibility to choose the model that fits your goals and schedule.

How it works
Step 1: Receive a Poshmark consignment bag shipped straight to your door.
Step 2: Fill it with the items you’d like to sell and schedule a convenient pickup through our partner, Uber.
Step 3: Sit back and relax. Your trusted Closet Partner will list, sell, and ship your items on your behalf.
Step 4: When your items sell, you’ll receive a 50/50 earnings split and reclaim some closet space. Ready to experience selling on Poshmark without the extra work? Get started.



Selling for Others:
Become a Closet Partner and help fellow Poshers sell their items while growing your own business and earnings.
How it works:
Step 1: Closet Partners are matched with local consignors ready to sell their pre-loved items.
Step 2: Receive consignment bags filled with items delivered right to your door.
Step 3: Use Poshmark’s selling tools or host a Posh Show to list and sell items quickly and effectively.
Step 4: Share the success. A 50/50 earnings split ensures both you and your consignor benefit from every sale.

What to Expect
- Direct Delivery: Consignment bags are delivered directly from the consignor to you. You’ll receive a notification the moment they arrive!
- 6-Month Commitment: You will be responsible for the items in the bag for a minimum of 6 months. After that, you or the consignor can get in touch for the items to be returned, donated, or keep selling!
- Quality Control: If items are dirty, damaged, or not eligible for the Consignment program, you won’t be asked to list them. You will reach out to the consignor to let them know that you will donate or dispose of those items.
- Flexible Frequency: Bags are delivered weekly by default, but you can pause deliveries or request extras anytime through your app preferences.
- Leaving the Program: You can opt out of receiving new bags at any time, though you’ll need to finish out the 6-month selling period for the items already in your possession.
- Identity Verification: You’ll be asked to upload your ID to verify your identity at some point. This follows Poshmark’s Seller Verification & Privacy Policies to keep our marketplace secure.
Partnering for Success
- Safely store the inventory until the items are sold.
- List items using My Consignment Bags in the Poshmark App within 7 days of bag delivery – the quicker you list, the quicker you make sales!
- Market, share, and ship consignment listings as if they were your own!
- Grow your business and support your Consignor by learning to sell new brands, categories, and selling methods.
- Provide feedback via surveys and video calls.

Matching with a Consignor
Closet Partners are automatically matched with a Consignor based on availability and proximity. Once you’re matched with a consignor, feel free to do the following:
- Say hello: Share a friendly message and thank them for partnering with you.
- Add a quick intro: Share a little about yourself and how long you’ve been with Poshmark.
- Offer guidance: Help them understand what sells best on Poshmark—popular brands, trending styles, and items in great condition.
A friendly introduction helps build trust and sets the tone for a smooth partnership.
You can contact your consignor directly by going to My Consignment Bags > select the consignment bag > on the Bag Details page, select the chat icon in the upper-right corner.
Communication with your Consignor
- Review Each Bag
Confirm what you received by reviewing the contents of each bag. A quick message helps build trust and shows your consignor that their items are in good hands. - Communicate with Care
If an item doesn’t meet resale standards (due to brand, condition, or policy restrictions), consider sending a quick photo and short note explaining why. This transparency helps set shared expectations and educates the consignor for future sends. - Use Chat to Stay Connected
The in-app chat is a great tool for building a connection. Keep lines of communication open — even a short message like “Just finished listing your bag, thank you!” goes a long way.
- Treat It Like a Partnership
Consider your consignor as a partner in maximizing earnings together. If you’re unsure about a particular item or its resale potential, don’t hesitate to ask questions.

Once your consignor has scheduled a bag pickup, same-day deliveries will be facilitated through Uber on Tuesdays and Wednesdays during normal business hours (9AM-5PM).
- Deliveries will be contactless.
- Please make sure that you are able to safely receive or store deliveries during these times.
Note: There may be occasional delivery delays and/or cancellations due to failed pickups. You can reach out to consignment@poshmark.com if you come across any other delivery issues.
How to view the bag status:
- Go to My Consignment Bags.
- Select the consignor.
- You will see one of the following statuses:
- Pickup Scheduled: View the scheduled date and time for pickup
- In Transit to Partner: Confirmation that the bag was picked up
- Pickup in Progress: The estimated arrival window
Once the bag is in transit to you from your consignor, select Live Tracking to see real-time arrival details.

As a Closet Partner, your journey begins when new inventory arrives at your door. Through our Uber partnership, receiving these items is designed to be seamless and secure.
To ensure every delivery goes smoothly, please follow these professional guidelines:
Do:
- Accept the delivery as instructed in the app—check that the bag matches what was expected.
- Report unusual behavior such as repeated requests for tips, excessive texting, or asking for personal information by emailing consignment@poshmark.com.
- Keep communication in the app and avoid direct phone or text exchanges unless absolutely necessary for delivery.
- Follow Poshmark and Uber’s guidance on handling issues—escalate through Support rather than resolving outside the system.
Don’t:
- Don’t give cash tips or extra payments; Uber drivers are already compensated through the platform.
- Don’t share personal information beyond what’s required for delivery.
- Don’t arrange off-platform pickups or drop-offs; keep everything tracked in the app.
- Don’t feel pressured; you’re never obligated to go beyond Poshmark’s instructions.
