A: My brand, Kameakay, is contemporary style. This brand expresses my love for helping others rock their own individual style, feel confident, and look good doing so.

A: I typically prepare 4-6 months in advance. Fashion is always a season ahead!

Q: How do you determine what items to sell for the holiday season?
A: I look at popular trends, read fashion magazines, and also add staples to my collection. Leopard print never goes out of style!

A: Holiday season usually means lots of rhinestones and glitz for our shoes!

A: Make sure you can mark the items up at a fair price while also making a profit. Look for items that are exciting and on trend. Also, items that can be used again after the holiday season so it’s a practical purchase.

A: Since people aren’t going out as much because of COVID-19, focus on things that are visible in a Zoom meeting, like party earrings or necklaces, which are going to be more in demand.

A: After spending a lot of time researching and testing products, it was clear I needed to pound the pavement. Thankfully LA Fashion District is super close! It took me several years to find the best manufacturers and distributors to work with. Many of them are small, without websites, so we’re proud to offer fashion that nobody else has.

A: Profits from all wholesale packs directly benefit the development of my public charity for survivors of childhood sexual abuse, Write or Die in Silence, Inc. The charity will serve survivors who want to learn to heal through writing. The Callie Lives Brand knows that clothing and style play huge parts in self-identification, self-expression, healing, and recovery. Our brand is dedicated to helping heal more victims and create more survivors.

Q: Do you see any changes in demand for your products during the holiday season?
A: More men are shopping for women.

Q: Do you have any tips or advice for sellers using the Wholesale Market to stock up during the holiday season?
A: Be mindful of the amount of items being purchased as the weight usually goes over the 5 lb mailing allotment.

A: My brand is Vivs Boutique. I named my Wholesale Market boutique after my mom, she was always so supportive of my online business. So when I decided to sell in the Wholesale Market, it seemed only right to grow my business in her memory with her name as my brand.

A: I have a special area for my seasonal items. As the seasons change, I rotate items into this area.

A: Buy your holiday items early so you have time to process and list. Think about gift ideas and what people usually wear to parties.

A: I started my Wholesale Market collection with Poshmark in early 2016 with the idea of helping fellow Poshers have access to quality on-trend pieces so they too could live out their entrepreneurial dreams and build their own Boutiques on Poshmark. I’m proud to have helped provide some of the first building blocks for thousands of Poshers who are running their own Boutiques!

A: My business has grown immensely and I am grateful for such a welcoming community. I’ve been able to grow my business on Poshmark by more than triple since creating my Wholesale Market collection.

A: Choose items to sell based on the idea that most shoppers either shop for themselves (i.e. seasonal favorites or party outfits) or shop for others (i.e. easy-to-gift items like scarves, jewelry, slippers).
